Adults
Parkside has 50 years of experience in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating adults. We will provide you with the highest quality care
and support as you move towards a healthier life.
Our intake team is staffed with licensed mental health professionals ready to listen and assess a patient's situation. They are highly skilled in assessing crisis and responding appropriately. Our specialized staff also provides compassionate support to the families involved. Because we know crisis can happen at any time, day or night, our Assessment and Referral Service is available 24 hours a day.
At Parkside's 16-bed adult hospital unit, the focus is on safety and stabilization. Patients benefit from physician directed care; intensive daily structure; individualized treatment plans; psychosocial rehabilitation, and individual and group therapies. Family involvement and therapy is important to the treatment process.
Adults with chemical dependency (CD) diagnosis may require medical detoxification and will receive a custom designed treatment plan that addresses thoughts, feelings, and behaviors contributing to addiction. They will also develop and implement a personal recovery and relapse prevention plan. Medications may be used as a supportive therapy.
Parkside's Adult Outpatient Program serves adults who are struggling to cope. In the outpatient program, patients get the help they need while continuing their daily lives. Patients whose condition requires it, are provided physician-directed medication management, including a medication injection clinic. Our outpatient therapists are licensed, Master's level professionals committed to helping patients through:
- Individual therapy
- Family therapy
- Group therapy, including groups for patients with dual diagnosis, thought disorders, and trauma survival.
- Adult intensive mental health programs
- Adult intensive chemical dependency programs, including free aftercare for patients who have successfully completed a CD program.
