Clinical Pharmaceutical Trial

 
Parkside and medical researchers under contract with Forest Pharmaceutical are enrolling patients in a 20 week clinical trial study to evaluate an investigational drug for the treatment of Bipolar I Disorder.  Every day, research uncovers new information about diseases and their treatment.  By taking part in a clinical research studay, you can be an important link in testing potential medications for future use.

Who is eligibile?

  • Adults, 18-65 years old
  • Diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder (mixed or manic episodes)
  • Willing to participate voluntarily in the study
  • Willing to be hospitalized for 3-4 weeks
What to expect?
  • A comprehensive psychiatric evaluation as it relates to this study
  • 3-4 weeks of hospitalization at Parkside at no cost to you or your insurance
  • Free medication during the course of the study (inpatient and outpatient)
  • Free outpatient follow up and treeatment for 16 weeks following discharge
  • $35 payment per outpatient visit
How do I get more informaiton?
  • Call Parkside Assessment & Referral at 918-588-8888 and tell them you are interested in speaking with someone about this clinical study.  Staff will provide you with the basic information and if you meet certain criteria, you wil be referred to speak with one of the clinical trial staff.
